Mike Newell enjoys the lifelong connections he has made while coaching young athletes in football, baseball and broadcasting. He has broadcasted games for all three high schools in the Lawton Public Schools district and the Comanche County Basketball Tournament. He has also worked on the table crew for the Lawton Ft. Sill Cavs and Cameron University Basketball.
Mike received his BS and his MS in Educational Leadership from Cameron University. When not broadcasting with Oklahoma Sports Network, Mike works as the Director of Health and Sciences and STEM Education at Great Plains Technology Center. In 2013, he was named the Oklahoma Career Tech Educator of the Year.
Mike is married to his wife, Traci, and they have a son, Harmon. He enjoys hunting, fishing, golf and attending Harmon’s football and baseball games at Lawton High School.
