Eastern Oklahoma State College freshman guard Dontae Horne has earned his first Player of the Week award for the season. He was named the NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week for Jan. 17-23. He is the second Eastern men's basketball player to earn the distinction so far this season. This marks the second such award for the Mountaineers, as well.
Horne is a freshman guard from Memphis, Tenn. He is currently averaging 16.1 points per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from beyond the arc. Horne is also shooting 68.1 percent from the free-throw line so far this season.
